Hah so it works both ways *wiggles eyebrows* you twisted my arm well practically about Gibbs in my leather story so now I return the favour. You had Gibbs reveal his love for Tim to Abby, what about Tim and Abby? They were the ones who were lovers, rather than father/daughter so ......

well actually I'm working on another coming out story involving the whole team this time. it's a little more light hearted too. I think I'm going to make Gibbs break the news to Jen so I might also include a little heart to heart between Tim and Abby.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with doing something different sometimes. I love Abby/Ziva and Jen/Ziva. I am right now working one a Ziva/Tony fic and loving it.
But I am running back to femmeslash when I am done with this

Hey CJ please go check out shetigers site. I put the link into the usful slash writers bit. Really good McGee/DiNozzo. Oh and I read a great Tony/Gibbs with McGee watching which kind of spun me out a bit. Now where was that? Live Journal? Sperrywink?

I found the answer to the NCIS and Homosexuality issue.
"Don't ask, don't tell" does NOT apply to NCIS or any other civilian jobs within the Department of Defense. They are Federal employees and fall under the Equal Employment Oportunity Policy.
To quote (bold added by me):
“The United States Government does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, age, membership in an employee organization, or other non-merit factor.”

The only time that would come into question Janie is if a member of NCIS (ala Gibbs) was still an active member of the military (ie the reserves). I believe in the beginning Gibbs was supposedly a Marine Reservist. And would still have been beholden to DADT

True. Gibbs would be, but eg. Tim/Tony wouldn't.
Also, for "Dibs on Gibbs" I checked the regs for Reservists. A member of the Reserves who is granted a General Discharge (Honorable) and then comes out is entitled to all benefits and can wear the Uniform at social/military events the same as anyone else.
Caveat:
If allegations of 'misconduct' during service are proven, or admitted to, and the General Discharge is changed to "less than honorable" the vet may lose all benefits and the right to wear the uniform.
However, I also discovered an interesting fact. Simply saying you are a homosexual is NOT grounds for discharge. The regs have more to do with one's sexual activity than orientation.

Im putting out a call. Would anyone be interested in beta'ing a Gibbs/McGee Im writing. Currently six pages and maybe half way though. Shoud be finished by the end of the weekend. I have never had any of my worked betad before... but this is Gibbs/McGee!
Its following on from my Gibbs/McGee, Little Boy Lost (See Storyboard) and this is the porn component.
Im just interesting in someone having a read and letting me know just how far OOC I have them. Then maybe I can tighten up before posting. I NEVER thought I would do a Gibbs/McGee but there you go. Anyway if anyone is interested just PM me.

I do need to ask anyone who officially knows... does don't ask don't tell really apply to NCIS? Because I watched a season 5 episode where McGee gets flustered when he's talking about dogs and it seemed that Gibbs saying Don't Ask Don't Tell was just a joke. NCIS agents are not military so Equal Employment means that in real life, NCIS agents can be gay right? It troubles me because one fic writer applies it the wrong way and I hate wondering about that.
